Oh, really, now you *are* flattering me ...

(I got my birthday card form Auntie Dingbat this morning -- the first time it's ever been late in mmmm-dee-mmm years. And she posted it early, too, of course. If I see any postal workers round here, I'm gonna string 'em up from the nearest lamp-post. Of course, no ACTUAL risk of that happening, then ... )

Indeed, our postal workers used to proclaim their arrival of a morning with a blast on our doorbell.

Now they just sneak in, drop the bags and skulk away. We don't even know we've had mail until someone trips over them about lunch time.
